Hello, I’m Hannah Tasker. I grow fruit and vegetables, keep chickens, and craft my way through life.

I live in a small town in East Yorkshire with my husband Simon, four amazing children aged 11, 9, 7 & 5, our black labrador Loki and seven chickens.

I write about gardening and growing our own fruit and vegetables on our allotment plot, about turning that food into delicious meals for our family and how we are attempting to live a more sustainable life. I am passionate about equality, gentle/respectful parenting and the environment.

When I am not gardening, napping or drinking tea, you will probably find me decorating, running, reading, with my head in a craft project or playing my priest, healing a raid on World of Warcraft

My previous blog was called ‘chasing simplicity’, and I am a firm believer that the simple things in life are the most rewarding, and that chasing an intentional, mindful life while embracing the moments in between is the best way to live.
